The Dixie Chicks did a country flavored version of the Miley Cyrus super hit Wrecking Ball and it was scrumptious. If you’re wondering where they’ve been, they had taken a break after releasing their (thus far) final album after “the incident“. They certainly went out gloriously as their last album Taking The Long Way debuted at #1 on both the Pop and Country charts selling over half a million copies in it’s first week alone. It ended up becoming the ninth best selling album of 2006 selling over 2.5 million copies and winning “Album of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Best Country Album”, “Record of the Year” and “Best Country Performance by a Group” at the 2007 Grammy Awards.

The group came out of a hiatus to tour with The Eagles and has done short tours sporadically since then.

  1. i do not know the couple.those that saw it never thought it would go this far. we hope that everyone can respect these two people and stop assuming things about them, we all have made mistakes (just not on a busy st pattys day in broad daylight). by no means do we want anyone to get into trouble. this happened in front of very few people and none of those were children adults etc.

  2. Awesome dixie chicks u could take any song and make it better and your own.
why u left us was a shame..I still wish ya'll.would come back to us..a few people that r a..h….. shouldn't have fazed u guys..too many people love ya" then and now!!!

  3. Yes they are amazing! It's a shame what happened. Especially when today, there are many country stars that have talked crap on our current President and nothing at all happened to them.

    They need to come back!

  4. I don't believe this chumm. I've have several picture links that are not from this video, this just happened to be the closes. According to a few individuals, they know who they are already and the state may do the prosecution due to how public this has become.

Side note, last time I checked after 18 years of age you are an adult and adhere to the laws in such away as anyone else. "College" and "drunk" does not change the rules/laws that any individual is governed by.

  5. I'm amazed the editor would go out of her/his way to defend these two. "Look they must be good people because umm well it was St. Patrick's Day and they were drunk on green beer so they are not responsible for the consequences of their actions."

Do they deserve jail time? Probably not. A fine? Sure, I'd be ok with that. To have this incident simply be forgotten because "we've all made singular, stupid, drunken mistakes"? No. Being drunk is not an excuse for shitty behavior.

Finally, I wonder why the editor believes this is an isolated incident. While there is no evidence to suggest that these two make horrible decisions on a regular basis there is also zero evidence to suggest this is an isolated incident.

  6. My question to you is would you expand you "are we going to ruin their lives over this" idea of punishment to all people who commit misdemeanors or felonies?

Does everyone who commits a crime deserve a second chance because they are probably good people? What is the cut off for crimes that are allowed to ruin someone's life and what crimes aren't? Should all criminal records to be private rather than public?
    Consistency is key here.

  7. I promise you, you know nothing. This incident won't be forgotten, it will be remembered for a long time. I'm sure you yourself has done something stupid in your life and lucky for you it wasn't caught on camera. These two whoever they are were drunk college kids who don't deserve their lives being ruined over something like this. There was other incidents of sexual conduct that day as well in the same place, unlike this one they were not put on social media for everyone to see.

  8. If you think two drunk college kids having sex behind a dumpster is what's "wrong with the world today", then you sir are part of the problem.

  9. i think you may be slightly confused between the concepts of "political posturing" and "drawing logical conclusions based on social constructs." then again, not surprising from someone who has made such a glaring grammatical error. ("they are judgement was obviously impaired"? …)

  10. Dude shut up. While there is no evidence to suggest that you make horrible decisions on a regular basis, there is also zero evidence to suggest that you are not an asshole.

Just keep watching your porn in private and you can keep thinking that you are better then everyone.

  11. Shooting someone in the head is obscene- this is just a couple of naughty exhibitionists trying to get their green on.

  12. Lady, please keep your idiocy to yourself. While there is no evidence you are a huge prick in real life, there is also zero evidence your parents didn't drop you as a little kid.

Just keep trying to use the word "then" properly, and maybe one day you'll succeed! Don't give up on your dreams!

  13. Very true, but the police need to set an example, and it just so happens that there are videos and pictures of this online. There were probably a bunch of sexual incidents that day, but none of those people were stupid enough to get recorded and posted online.

  14. Well here in 'Merica you can't show anything unless the bible approves it and there's no tits or peen on display so meh for the video. Bravo shows more ass than what's on display here.

  15. It's just a couple of white college kids so no biggie, right? They don't need to obey any laws 'cause they were drunk, huh? Is that how the world works?

  16. Probably just me – but in order of creepiness:

    1. The guys in the car stalking the pair with a camera – they're seriously creepy for stalking them, recording them, and then uploading the video to humiliate them worldwide.

    2. The people calling for prosecution, shaming, or crucifixion for these two
    3. The actual couple themselves – ok, so close to the dumpster, not their best moment, but if there's anyone on here that hasn't had sex at an inappropriate time or place, you need to put down the keyboard, and get out more.

  17. Why all the shaming of the woman? Perhaps you didn't see that there is also a guy right on top of her! Yeah, it was not the smartest move on both their parts. Hope that they had a condom, esp. if it was a 'casual hook-up'. Damn!

  18. God bless that girl! There aren't enough girls like that out there. They're just having some fun and nobody's getting hurt. I've done that kind of thing plenty of times with some girlfriends and girls like her are the best! Just plain fun girls. Hell, I've done it in places way more public than that! If you don't like it, don't look! (unless you kind of have to, to see where you're going 😉 )
