In it’s 2nd weekend, Mr. Peabody & Sherman beats out new releases to take the #1 spot.  Last week’s champion, the not quite a sequel, not quite a prequel, 300: Rise of an Empire (see our 300: Rise of an Empire review) slid to the #2 spot taking in $19 million. Tyler Perry’s The Single Mom’s Club debuted at  #5 with $8.3 million. Son of God continued it’s sad slide and most certainly won’t make it until Easter. Veronica Mars, the crowd-funded movie took in $2 million in only 291 theaters!
