Surprise Plans for Oprah’s Final Shows

Well this is certainly the end of an era. Since he was born, The Whore knew Oprah was always on ABC TV at 4pm giving the world heaps of love, wisdom and affirmation. But in a few short weeks, Mother O will no longer be there. The third and second to last episodes of Oprah will be filmed at Chicago’s United Center arena, to accomodate the huge swath of movie, tv and music stars that will be there – as well as the 25,000 audience members in attendance. The celebration will be called “Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular!” and will air in two parts. Oprah producer Sheri Salata said:

“As most of our viewers know, being surprised is not one of Oprah’s favorite things. In the spirit of our farewell season, she is making a rare exception and we intend to make the most of the opportunity. It will be something to see!”
The taping for the shows will be on May 17th, 2011 and will air May 23rd & May 24th. The very last Oprah show, the series finale, will air Wednesday May 25th, 2011. From there, Oprah will ascend back into the heavens focus on OWN.
