In a very strange interview, reclusive recording artist Prince has declared that “the internet is over”. In his first UK sit down interview in ten years, Prince sat down with the Daily Mirror. Prince states, “The Internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.”
His upcoming album “20Ten” will be released in the UK only and will only be available for free with the purchase of certain newspapers. It will not be available in stores. It will not be available online or through digital distribution channels like iTunes. In fact, he’s so tired of the internet he has closed his own website down. He states, “I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it.”
The Whore is a bit confused on why Prince would think iTunes would give him an advance. That’s what a record label is for, not the outlets that sell your music. It’s quite ashame that Prince continues his descent into utter madness. There’s a thin line between genius and insanity. It looks like the purple one has finally crossed that line.
