Mariah Carey Album Cancelled Due To Poor Sales

After the disaster that was the “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel” era, Mariah Carey‘s newest record “Angel’s Advocatehas been cancelled. “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel” debuted at #3 in the US with only 168,000 units, and has yet to sell 1 million copies. The lead single “Obsessed” peaked at #7, but the follow up “I Want To Know What Love Is” peaked at a sad #60 & the third single “HATEU” failed to chart. The tour “Angels Advocate Tour” faired no better, playing to half empty theaters & only grossing $6 million through 23 dates. The album, which was set to be released next month, featured remixes and re-recordings of songs from “Memoirs…”. The first single from the album “Up Out My Face” charted for 1 week, hitting #100 on Billboard. The follow up, “Angel’s Cry” featuring Ne-Yo failed to chart. The Whore thinks if you released 5 singles & only 1 of them hit the Top 40, it’s time to call it quits. Are YOU a sad panda over the album being cancelled?
