Law & Order Officially Dead

In a bit of sad television news, Law & Order will not be returning to television. The TV stalwart has been apart of the NBC lineup for the past 25 years, but creator Dick Wolf confirmed that it’s over. Wolf told Variety, “I can confirm that it has moved into the history books. We exhausted every effort. There are so many factors that entered into the network’s decision. Everything in life is a negotiation. In 25 years on air at NBC, we never failed to make a deal when there was a deal to be made.”

Wolf can take some comfort in the fact that he still has Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent & the upcoming Law & Order: Los Angeles.
