This is horrible news! Reports have been confirmed that the next James Bond movie has been cancelled. As in, there may not be another 007 movie. MGM, the studio behind the decades running franchise, is a horrible financial position and almost $4 billion in debt. Even though the previous two Bond films, Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace raked in over $1 Billion in worldwide box office, MGM just can’t financially support making the film. Daniel Craig, who plays the namesake of the rebooted Bond series, is already signed into the role and the script is already written. This also puts The Hobbit films into jeopardy once again, as MGM is the studio backing that franchise as well.
WTF? If MGM can’t get it’s shiot together and literally end up KILLING two of the biggest
geek money making franchises in film history, there’s going to be hell to pay.
What are YOUR thoughts on this mess? Can you imagine film life without a Bond film? Can you spare MGM $4 billion? Tell us in the comments!
