Howard Stern Renews Contract With Sirius XM

As previously thought, the rumor of Howard Stern being picked up by Apple iTunes for his radio show did not come to fruition. It didn’t make any sense anyway, and was most likely started by Stern’s camp itself as a negotiating ploy for Sirius XM. In any event, Stern announced today that he will be staying at Sirius XM for the next 5 years. No financial details have been announced yet, but look for that to come soon enough. Stern commented on the air today, “If we’re going to stay in radio, we should stay here. We’re in an incredible position and suddenly there’s real growth. It’s a real business.
