Glee Producers Will Replace Characters

Glee creator / writer / extraordinaire Ryan Murphy has revealed that characters will exit the super popular series as they graduate. Murphy wants to stay true to life in that respect, and not have actors in their 40’s still playing high school-ers. Quite a few of the cast members are currently in their late 20’s. Murphy explains: “Every year we’re going to populate a new group. There’s nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot.” With a freshmen class coming in every year, audiences will be able to hang on to their favorites, while being introduced to new characters. He is projecting that 2012 will see the current crop of students graduate.

What do YOU think? Do you think the series should go on with the same faculty and new students? Or do you think they should stretch out time, a la The Simpsons, and keep the current crop?
