|Comcast to buy Time Warner Cable for $45 Billion|
Comcast is set to announce their intent to purchase Time Warner Cable this morning. The deal will be worth $45.2 billion in all-stock with Time Warner being absorbed into Comcast – the largest cable operator in America. Comcast, which also owns NBC Universal, currently has about 22 million cable video subscribers. Time Warner Cable, the 2nd largest cable operator in the country, has 12 million cable video subscribers. The deal would have to be approved by the FCC.
