Carly Simon Finally Reveals The Muse Behind “You’re So Vain”

Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” has been dissected and argued about since its release in 1972. From her long list of ex’s including Mick Jagger & Warren Beatty to everyone in between, the singer / songwriter has never revealed just who the song was written for…until now. Simon told Uncut magazine that the answer lies in an acoustic version of the classic, which can be found on her upcoming disc “Never Been Gone”. The answer? Homosexual media mogul David Geffen. Geffen was the head of Simon’s label at the time. The Whore thinks thats a wonderful twist of irony.
