Analyst Says Apple Sold 600K – 700K iPads Day 1

Piper Jaffray Senior Research Analyst, Gene Munster, who frequently monitors Apple and their product launches, has updated his day one estimates of the iPad to between 600,000 and 700,000 units. Originally, Munster had predicted between 200,000 and 300,000 on day one. This number includes all of the iPad units that have been pre-ordered since March 12th.

If that holds up, that’s an absolutely astonishing number, even for Apple. The Whore still has to wait another month before his Wi-Fi + 3G version is released. Hurry it up, Jobs!
