American Idol Still TV’s #1 Rated Show

Every year people like to proclaim that this is the year American Idol is “over”. Every year those people are proven wrong. This year proved no different. Ratings are in for the 2009-2010 television season, which officially ended June 6th. Once again, Idol took the title as the #1 and #2 most watched shows in the United States. And while many liked to point out the decline in Idol’s ratings this year, they neglected to mention that ALL of TV viewing was down this year. This is proven by looking at the wide margin, 5 million viewers, between American Idol & the next most watched show, Dancing With The Stars.
