An all new version of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is coming to theaters. Starting February 28, for one week only, a completely new, recut version with 763 entirely new jokes will be released for your viewing pleasure. The new version, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues: Super Sized R Rated Version has taken the film from its original PG-13 rating to a “hard” R rating. Writer / director Adam McKay commented, “When my editor told me we had a whole different version of the movie that was more than two hours long with nearly 800 new jokes, I was shocked. But when Paramount said they were actually going to put it in theaters, I did an 1950’s spit take. If you’re a hardcore Anchorman fan go see this. If you’re not, stay very far away.

Anchorman 2: The Legend continues was released in December 2013 and has grossed over $170 million. Similarly, after the success of Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, an “alternate film” companion was released to DVD titled “Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie“. That film was compiled of alternate takes and footage cut from the original film to make up the film.
